Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design activities for both small and large customer projects
  • Design and adapt large-scale industrial machinery to customer requirements using 3D CAD
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and respond to engineering questions from customers and suppliers
  • Drive product improvements and contribute to R&D and innovation initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, testing, and supplier teams
  • Take ownership of project progress by proactively gathering information and coordinating internally
  • Support continuous improvement across mechanical design standards and solutions

  • Experience & Education
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical design (industrial machinery, sheet metal, or automation are an advantage); we also welcome candidates with more senior experience who are looking to take on broader technical responsibility .
  • Solid experience with 3D CAD (Creo and Windchill strongly preferred)
  • Experience working in a production- or project-oriented engineering environment
  • Fluent in English; Swedish language skills are an advantage

JBT Marel is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Helsingborg , Sweden, where advanced industrial food processing equipment is designed, built, and tested under one roof. This is a hands-on engineering role where your designs don't stay on a screen - they become real machines on the shop floor. You'll be part of a collaborative team of around 35 engineers , working closely with production, testing, and suppliers.
