Temporary Security Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build, integrate, and maintain security tools, automations, and platform capabilities across cloud and on‑prem environments
• Support vulnerability management, incident response, and monitoring by investigating findings and driving remediation actions
• Develop and enhance automation (Python/PowerShell, SOAR) to streamline triage, enrichment, and response workflows
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to deploy secure architectures and improve platform resiliency
• Analyze security events/findings, communicate risk clearly, and recommend prioritized fixes to technical and business stakeholders
• Identify process gaps and implement scalable engineering improvements to strengthen overall security operations efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• 3+ years of experience in security engineering, security operations, or a related technical role within a dynamic environment
• Hands-on experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and security platforms such as SIEM, SOAR, and vulnerability management tools
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and modern infrastructure (APIs, containers, microservices)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Compensation Range: $28 - $42 per hour
