Tooling Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating tooling projects and tracking progress to ensure timely completion
• Support troubleshooting of tooling and machine issues, and follow up on repair or replacement activities
• Participate in tool fabrication and repair processes, including basic hands-on support where required
• Assist in maintaining proper documentation such as fabrication records, maintenance logs, and tooling reports
• Support planning and scheduling of toolroom activities to optimise workflow and minimise downtime
• Assist in coordinating quality checks and inspections to ensure tooling meets required specifications
• Liaise with external vendors for quotations, delivery follow-ups, and basic coordination
• Contribute ideas and support initiatives to improve toolroom efficiency and processes
• Who We Are Looking For
• Currently pursuing or recently completed Higher Nitec, Diploma, or Degree in Precision Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
• Basic understanding of tooling or mold fabrication
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn, proactive attitude, and hands-on approach
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
