About the role

Join the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Shared Service Center! We're looking for talented professionals to help deliver solutions that support federal agencies nationwide. As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist you will lead personnel processing and records management operations, provide technical and business oversight, advise agency leaders on HR operations, improve service delivery, and supervise staff supporting Federal customer agencies. For the GS 13: You must have You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent, performing all of the following: Processing and overseeing personnel actions and employee records in compliance with human resources federal laws, regulations, policies, and records management requirements (5 CFR, GPPA, OPF, etc.); AND Analyzing operational issues and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and service delivery; AND Providing technical guidance to managers, employees, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders on personnel processing, records management, federal human capital management systems, and human resources operations; AND Leading staff, teams, or projects while managing customer service activities, service agreements, resources, or other business operations supporting human resources services. Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS13 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
