The Special Events Coordinator schedules meetings, student activities, special events, and community or business events at the NWACC Washington County location. This position responds to room requests, coordinates event logistics, supports Ad Astra scheduling and reporting, and provides responsive customer service to internal and external stakeholders. The role provides accurate information about facilities, policies, rates, procedures, and events; coordinates support services; assists with location events as needed; and may attend events to ensure successful execution. Evening or weekend work may be required. Independently schedule internal and external non-academic facility use at the Washington County location Interpret facility policies and exercise sound judgment when approving or coordinating facility use Advise event organizers on resources, coordinate logistics, and communicate event needs to Physical Plant, IT, and Campus Security Prepare event contracts, support scheduling system improvements, and recommend process enhancements Schedule appointments, provide facility tours, consult with customers on event needs, recommend available resources, and draft customer communications Meet customers on event days to confirm setup, assist with IT/AV needs, and coordinate technical support as needed Remain available for evening or weekend events as needed; weekly schedules may vary and may include travel to the Bentonville location Coordinate event communications, lobby monitor content, and signage in partnership with Marketing and the Washington County team Maintain customer databases and Ad Astra records, prepare reports, and collaborate with college departments on special events Build and maintain relationships with vendors and external resource providers Process customer billing through Workday Monitor AV equipment and technology resources Train others in safe and proper equipment operations Perform related duties as assigned Rate of Pay: $18.55 hourly *Higher compensation may be considered based on qualifications directly related to position Completed applications received by 7/20/2026 will be assured full consideration.
