This is a technically challenging and rewarding role, working across a diverse client portfolio while playing a key part in developing our people and growing the business. As a senior leader within our Indirect Tax team, you'll provide strategic GST and indirect tax advice across a broad range of industries including financial services, property, transport and logistics, and cross-border matters. You'll work closely with clients as a trusted advisor, lead complex engagements, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the division through strong client relationships and business development.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality GST and indirect tax advisory services across a diverse client base
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing queries and delivering exceptional service
• Manage ATO reviews and audit processes
• Oversee billing, WIP and budget management for engagements
• Identify client needs and deliver tailored, commercial solutions
• Build and strengthen client relationships, identifying opportunities for further work
• Contribute to thought leadership and innovative solutions for complex tax issues
• Lead, coach and mentor team members, fostering a high-performing and supportive culture

• 8+ years' experience within Professional Services
• Proven experience leading and developing teams (3-4+ years)
• Strong business development capability with a client-first mindset
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Commerce or Finance (Accounting major)
• CA qualified or equivalent
• Desirable:
• Law or double degree, or Master of Tax
