About the role

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Artificial Intelligence (AI) Security Manager to lead the security governance, risk management, and protection of AI systems, machine learning models, and data assets across the organization.

Responsibilities

• AI Security Governance & Risk Management
• Develop and maintain the organization's AI security framework, policies, standards, and controls.
• Conduct AI security risk assessments, threat modelling, and vulnerability assessments.
• Establish governance processes for the secure development, deployment, and operation of AI systems.
• Ensure AI initiatives comply with internal security standards and external regulatory requirements.
• AI System Security
• Design and implement security controls to protect AI and machine learning models against adversarial attacks, model poisoning, data manipulation, prompt injection, and model theft.
• Assess and mitigate security risks associated with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-powered applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed security into the AI lifecycle (Secure AI-by-Design).
• Review AI architectures, APIs, cloud environments, and integrations for security vulnerabilities.
• Cybersecurity & Incident Response
• Monitor emerging AI-related cyber threats and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead investigations and incident response activities involving AI platforms and systems.
• Conduct security reviews, penetration testing coordination, and vulnerability management initiatives.
• Develop security monitoring capabilities for AI environments.
• Compliance & Regulatory Management
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and AI governance frameworks.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments related to AI technologies.
• Establish controls aligned with ISO 27001, NISTAI Risk Management Framework, MAS TRM Guidelines, and other relevant standards.

Requirements

• Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Master's Degree is advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or Technology Risk Management.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting AI Machine Learning, Data Science, or Advanced Analytics environments.
• Experience securing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience in AI governance, AI risk management, or AI security assessment is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Knowledge of AI attack vectors including:
• Prompt Injection , Model Poisoning Data Poisoning Model Inversion ,Adversarial .Machine Learning ,Data Leakage
• Familiarity with MLOps and AI development pipelines.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, IAM, Cloud Security, and Security Architecture.
• Understanding of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).

• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor
• Certified AI Security or AI Governance certifications

Additional Information

The client is a well-known leader (manufacturing industry / Oil& Gas / Chemicals Gas) with a presence around the globe in more than 10locations. Due to urgency of this role, incumbent who can converse in Chinese and staying in Singapore will be of higher priority. Preferable exp candidates with work exp in European / Japanese MNC (Manufacturing) The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and implementing security strategies for AI-powered applications ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, safeguarding AI models from emerging cyber threats, and promoting responsible AI adoption across business functions. This role requires a strong blend of cybersecurity expertise, AI/ML knowledge, risk management capabilities, and stakeholder engagement skills.
