The laboratory of Dr. Liu at the Department of Biology, Saint Louis University, St. Louis, MO, USA, seeks one highly motivated postdoctoral researcher associate or research technician to study the structure and function of proteins involved in photophysics and photochemistry in both oxygenic photosynthesis, such as cyanobacteria and higher plants as well as anoxygenic photosynthesis (green sulfur bacteria, GSB). Candidates with training in molecular biology and structural biology, are encouraged to apply. Experience with protein expression and protein purification/isolation are required. Bioinformatics and structural modelling are also desirable. Additional qualifications include effective writing and communication, strong problem solving and critical thinking, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary and interactive research environment.
