Responsibilities
- Produce insightful, meaningful, and analytical commentary and reporting that can assist financial and non-financial stakeholders to facilitate decision making
- Proactively build and improve financial models to assist with regular reporting and ad hoc analysis and help increase automation and streamlining of reports.
- Manage data and data mining to translate financial data into actionable insights
- Anticipate and support evolving financial performance reporting needs and work with cross functional teams to drive improvements and process changes
- Become a trusted business partner to the Transportation business teams and to other finance and retail business teams
- What You Bring:
- University degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, or business-related discipline
- Are currently pursuing or have obtained an accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a business or financial analysis role
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Experience with building and improving financial models
- Working knowledge of PeopleSoft, HFM, Data visualization tools (Power BI), SQL and Supply Chain experience is an asset
- Strong problem solving, analytical and strategic thinking skills; able to see the "big picture" in a complex business environment and natural curiosity to understand the reason behind transactions
- Strong interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills with ability to articulate complex financial results and build and maintain strong relationships
- Attention to detail, organized, motivated self-starter and with ability to thrive in an environment responsive to changing business requirements
