Job Overview The purpose of this job is to support the timely and quality implementation of Child Protection (CP) interventions within the respective settlements. Engagement will be at household, community, zones, parish, sub-county, and district levels. This role requires the staff to have good communication abilities, networking and collaboration abilities, training abilities for communities especially children. Core to the role are skills to raise awareness for prevention and response to child rights violations and the ability to link affected children to services in time, and documentation of on-the-ground experiences and emerging issues in child protection. Duties and Responsibilities Case Management - Conduct BIP for high-priority cases (BIA, BIDs, case planning and implementation, case closures) - Ensure 100% utilization of ProGres version 4. (BIAs, BID, Interventions, & closure) - Support referrals of high-priority cases. - Coordinate and facilitate family tracing and reunification (FTR) with the responsible partner. - Initiate, plan and present cases during the case conferences - Provision of Case-by-case to high-priority cases. - Facilitate cases for specialized services - Filing case management tools - Ensure community structures have the required case management tools like monitoring forms, low priority logbooks and referrals - Respond to emerging cases raised through FRRM and other toll-free line Effective project implementation - Prepare concepts notes and submit them within the agreed timeframes. - Develop work plans for activity implementation - Prepare and submit monthly payment requisitions for Community structures' stipends within the first week of every new month with all required attachments - Prepare and submit all payment requisitions for activities conducted within the set timelines and processes. - Prepare and file accountability documents (attendance lists, acknowledgement forms and reports) - Provide technical oversight to community-based child protection systems, children groups and stakeholders in advocating for child protection, participation Capacity Building and System Strengthening - Train community structures on child protection, BIP, CP minimum standards, peace building activities, PSS, PSEA and safeguarding - Conduct periodic alternative background check for community structures - Build capacities and mentor community structures on child protection models. - Organize and conduct monthly meetings with community structures (CPCs, RWCs, para social workers, volunteers) and children on child protection, positive parenting and child participation - Facilitate advocacy forums led by children on issues affecting them. The forums are aimed at awareness creation and sensitization of communities - Coordinate with the community structures to ensure effective implementation of activities Reporting, Documentation, and Accountability - Develop weekly and activity reports, and submit them to the Child Protection officer and MEAL - Identify potential impact stories for documentation and inform the officer and MEAL - Collect feedback from the beneficiaries and community structures and submit to the officer and MEAL - Update asset register for community assets among others Child-Friendly Space (CFS) Management - Provide mentorship and capacity building for Center Management Committees (CMCs) to ensure ownership and sustainability of the Centres - Supervise CFS implementation as per the agreed minimum standards in emergencies - Provide support supervision to the CMCs - Ensure caregivers are trained on CFS framework and catalogue - Ensure compliance of safeguarding policy in the CFSs - Facilitate the process of CFS transition to the community in line with the CFS National transition guidelines. Experience, Education and technical competencies - University degree, preferably in Social work, sociology, law, Human Rights, or related field. - 3-5 years of experience in protection programming, including GBV, Child Protection, or Protection Monitoring. - Experience working with vulnerable populations, such as Children, refugees, IDPs, returnees and migrants, in displacement settings. - Past exposure and experience with integra
