About the role

Location: University Park In 2025, the University of Nottingham's Rights Lab and King's College London launched the Leverhulme Centre for Research on Slavery in War. The Centre aims for far-reaching insights that transform global responses to slavery in conflict settings. The role-holder will be part of the Centre's inaugural ECR cohort, with mentorship from Centre co-leads and its cohort director. The role holder will contribute to the development of new approaches and techniques appropriate to the research. Specific projects will be identified in line with the role-holder's expertise and Centre need. The role-holder will identify new areas for research and work with other ECRs on team-based projects. About the team The Rights Lab is the world's largest, leading modern slavery research institute. Our challenge-led, team-based approach fosters interdisciplinary collaboration. The role-holder will also collaborate with Centre ECRs based at King's College London. About you Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant field and be at a relatively early stage of your academic career - for example, you will have not yet held a full-time permanent academic post.. Here are some examples of the expertise we are seeking; however, this list is not exhaustive: Ability to foster a collaborative, team-based research culture A track record of publication on relevant topics Experience working across and with multiple disciplines Knowledge of research methods, research design, explanation, and understanding.
