About the role
This position is part of the Department of War (DoW), Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The incumbent will be responsible for serving as technical coordinator for the continuous operation of the MDA Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP). Salary Ranges are the following unless statutory/regulatory rates prevail. For the Colorado Springs, CO Location: $91,870 to $142,022 (includes 20.15% locality) For the Redstone Arsenal, AL Location: $93,216 to $144,102 (includes 21.91% locality) You may qualify at the NH-03 Broadband Level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below and must meet 2 of the 4 specialized experience listed below to be qualified: Providing technical advice, guidance, and recommendations on IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices to a supervisor or higher-level specialist. Applying the principles, practices, methods, and techniques of Cybersecurity and associated concepts and standards. Managing Defensive Cybersecurity Operations (DCO), such as network monitoring, intrusion detection, response, mitigation, and analysis. Implementing and adhering to Department of War Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) processes. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
