Responsibilities

  • We are hiring a Senior Engineering Technician to develop Helion's fusion generators and subscale plasma devices. You will help develop hardware, lead full-scale builds, and coach fellow technicians on the Production Team. You will report directly to our Build Manager at our Everett, WA campus.
  • You Will:
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and managers to design, assemble, test, and troubleshoot electromechanical systems
  • Design and fabricate fixtures and jigs to aid in the assembly of electromechanical components
  • Own process development and work instruction creation for prototype assembly and test
  • Design, build, and perform mechanical and electrical tests on parts and assemblies.
  • Ensure safety and quality standards are met throughout the production process
  • Be able to squat, reach, climb, and stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50lbs
  • Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical or Electrical Technician
  • Experience using light fabrication tools (power tools, mills, lathes, etc.)
  • Experience with CAD modeling
  • Read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and reports
  • Efficient use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook for clear documentation and communication.
  • Bonus Skills:
  • Experience designing parts/fixtures in CAD software
