Responsibilities
- As a Zone Manager, you will:
- Lead your department/zone to achieve productivity and efficiency targets in line with the production plan
- Ensure products are prepared and manufactured to the highest standards
- Manage and support colleagues within your zone
- Monitor team capability and support development to maximise potential
- Ensure clear communication of goals, expectations and performance standards
- Monitor raw materials, ingredients and processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Promote a strong Health, Safety & Environmental culture
- Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions and encourage near-miss reporting
- R eview operational trends and identify opportunities to improve quality, performance and profitability
- Monitor machinery and equipment performance through Optimum Equipment Efficiency (OEE)
- Contribute to customer and technical process development reviews to enhance production quality and consistency
- Communicate regularly with the operations team on progress against the production plan
- Highlight risks to production volumes, timelines or standards
Requirements
- We are looking for someone who is hands-on, organised, and passionate about operational excellence.
- You will ideally have:
- Good standard of education with strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and report in English
- Experience managing teams in a complex manufacturing environment
- Advanced Food Hygiene certification
- HACCP Level 2 qualification
- IOSH Level 2 qualification

We are looking for a proactive and driven Food Production Zone Manager to join our Chilled Food manufacturing team in Bristol.
