Food Production Zone Manager

You will play a vital role in delivering production targets, maintaining quality and safety standards, and developing a high-performing team. Responsibilities

• As a Zone Manager, you will:
• Lead your department/zone to achieve productivity and efficiency targets in line with the production plan
• Ensure products are prepared and manufactured to the highest standards
• Manage and support colleagues within your zone
• Monitor team capability and support development to maximise potential
• Ensure clear communication of goals, expectations and performance standards
• Monitor raw materials, ingredients and processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards
• Promote a strong Health, Safety & Environmental culture
• Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions and encourage near-miss reporting
• R eview operational trends and identify opportunities to improve quality, performance and profitability
• Monitor machinery and equipment performance through Optimum Equipment Efficiency (OEE)
• Contribute to customer and technical process development reviews to enhance production quality and consistency
• Communicate regularly with the operations team on progress against the production plan
• Highlight risks to production volumes, timelines or standards

Requirements

• We are looking for someone who is hands-on, organised, and passionate about operational excellence.
• You will ideally have:
• Good standard of education with strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and report in English
• Experience managing teams in a complex manufacturing environment
• Advanced Food Hygiene certification
• HACCP Level 2 qualification
• IOSH Level 2 qualification

We are looking for a proactive and driven Food Production Zone Manager to join our Chilled Food manufacturing team in Bristol.
