Responsibilities

  • Acts as subject matter expert to program teams on issues relating to governance, funding authorization, engagement with partner lines, contracting, tracking of internal resources and generation of program resourcing plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry, particularly in R&D Business Operations, Finance and Development Management. Familiarity with Pfizer preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft financial / operational PowerPoint presentations according to prescribed templates and to develop concise informative templates when required.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and create complex Excel models
  • Skilled at assessing financial information and conveying summarizing key information verbally or in writing
  • Experienced and effective in communicating and interacting with senior level stakeholders.
  • Experienced in managing multiple, competing tasks simultaneously; defining and executing complex strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, across multiple lines.
  • Demonstrated understanding of vaccine research and development process.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness with proven ability to anticipate needs, prioritize responsibilities, manage multiple priorities with tight timelines, and take initiative with a minimal amount of supervision.
  • Strong project management and skills with demonstrated attention to detail.

  • Standard office environment, with the individual co-located in open space or workstation with other staff and scientists.

ROLE SUMMARY This position performs business operations planning and management for Vaccines Research and Development activities, to ensure timely and compliant conduct of vaccine development programs. The incumbent applies a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical and vaccine research and development processes as well as budget planning expertise to independently guide cross-functional vaccine development program teams, formulating and delivering resource and funding plans required to secure program funding. The incumbent provides input and influence to both program development and internal governance strategy and will independently provide consultation to vaccines leadership on resource deployment issues. Collaborates with, and serves as an advisor to, many external partners to ensure efficient and compliant business transactions are conducted, including finance, legal, Pfizer R&D and CDO partner lines, business technology, commercial functions and external vendors. The incumbent will independently lead and project manage VRD process improvement initiatives and other non-portfolio facing projects and activities.
