Responsibilities

  • Technical & Application Responsibilities

  • Support proposal development by providing: Technical input for quotations, system configurations, and solution architectures
  • Build trusted relationships with: University laboratories National research institutes Quantum startups and industrial partners
  • Required Qualifications
  • Education & Background
  • PhD or Master's degree in Physics, Quantum Engineering, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering , or a closely related field
  • 3-5+ years of hands‑on experience in one or more of the following: Quantum computing research Quantum and photonics technologies Ultrafast / femtosecond laser systems Quantum hardware development Experimental physics or advanced instrumentation roles
  • Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of: Quantum computing fundamentals (quantum gates, circuits, and algorithms such as VQE, QAOA, Grover's, Shor's)Quantum noise, decoherence, and error‑mitigation concepts
  • Hands‑on experience with experimental systems, including: Cryogenic or low‑temperature systemsRF/microwave or optical control systems Femtosecond lasers, ultrafast optics, pulse characterization, and beam delivery Photonic quantum devices and PIC platforms
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with at least one quantum or scientific framework: Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane, Perceval, Quantify, or similar
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and control stacks such as: Zurich Instruments, Qblox, Keysight, or equivalent platforms Automation tools (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB)
  • Strong ability to translate complex physics and photonics concepts into clear, customer‑relevant value
  • Nice‑to‑Have
  • Experience working with: Cryogenic dilution refrigerators Quantum photonic integrated circuits (PICs) Ultrafast laser laboratories or laser‑based quantum experiments
