Requirements

• Experience & Technical Competencies:
• Bachelor's degree preferred in business management, leadership, computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience required
• 3+ years supervisory, management, and relationship-building skills preferred
• Experience working within a technology-driven organization supporting enterprise systems and cross-functional initiatives.
• Working knowledge of higher education operations and systems (e.g., SIS, CRM, ERP, LMS) and the broader student lifecycle preferred.
• Demonstrated experience documenting business processes, business rules, and cross-functional workflows.
• Proficiency with process mapping and flowcharting tools (e.g., Visio or similar platforms).
• Experience producing structured requirements documentation (e.g., BRDs, FSDs) and supporting initiatives through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Working knowledge of SDLC processes, including both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Experience working within ticketing and work management systems (e.g., Jira or similar platforms).
• Foundational knowledge of SQL and the ability to create and interpret queries to support analysis and validation activities.
• Understanding of organizational structures, governance, and operational dynamics within complex environments.
• Competencies/Technical/Functional Skills:
• Deep knowledge of business analysis practices, including requirements documentation, process mapping, and solution design.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience with enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, SIS, and integrations.
• Familiarity with data analysis concepts including SQL, reporting validation, and data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar platforms.
• Experience leading UAT planning, execution, and validation processes.
• Understanding of system integrations, APIs, and enterprise architecture concepts.

Compensation Range: Annual Salary: $78,496.00 - $105,974.00 Position Summary The Associate Director, Technical Business Analyst provides strategic leadership and oversight for business analysis functions supporting enterprise initiatives, systems, and process improvement efforts. This role is responsible for guiding the analysis, design, and delivery of complex, cross-functional solutions, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical capabilities. The Associate Director serves as a leader and subject matter expert, driving best practices across requirements management, process design, and solution delivery. This role partners closely with stakeholders, product, technology, and PMO teams to support prioritization, governance, and execution of high-impact initiatives. In addition to leading analysis efforts, the role is responsible for developing team capabilities, mentoring analysts, and continuously improving business analysis methodologies and standards. Essential Functions: Lead and oversee business analysis efforts across complex, enterprise-level initiatives, ensuring alignment to strategic priorities Provide leadership, coaching, and development for Technical Business Analysts, including performance management and mentorship Establish and maintain standards for requirements documentation, process mapping, and solution design practices Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT, PMO, and executive leadership Drive cross-functional alignment and facilitate decision-making across competing priorities, dependencies, and constraints Oversee development of business requirements, functional specifications, and process documentation to ensure clarity and quality Guide solution design, ensuring recommendations are scalable, efficient, and aligned with enterprise architecture Lead risk identification, impact assessment, and mitigation planning across initiatives Partner with PMO and leadership teams on portfolio planning, prioritization, and governance processes Support full SDLC execution, including oversight of UAT strategy, testing coordination, and implementation readiness Drive continuous improvement of business analysis frameworks, tools, and methodologies Provide executive-level reporting, insights, and recommendations to inform strategic decisions Serve as a subject matter expert across systems, processes, and business domains Maintain reliable attendance and perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities : Directly manages team of Technical Business Analysts. Provides coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development support. Builds team capability in business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and solution design.
