About the role
You will serve as a SHIPBUILDING SPECIALIST in the LPD CTL Branch (322.1), AMPHIB DIVISION (322), Waterfront Operations Department (300) of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying the full range of principles, concepts and practices related to surface combatant ships, carrier and submarines repair and overhaul programs including ship modernization. Experience dealing with Standards Items (NAVSEA), miliary and commercial specifications and standards, Naval drawings, shipbuilding/ship repair practices and industrial processes. Experience providing accurate information, ideas and conclusions clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Experience analyzing contractor reports and providing detailed statements of work including estimates of labor and material requirements. Experience applying Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health regulations, ensuring adherence by all personnel daily. Experience developing daily reports, recommendations, planning documents and correspondence concerning labor conditions, production costs, methods, processes and material costs.
