Senior Solution Architect, Payments

About the role

You will play a key role in shaping payment offerings for corporate channels in a complex banking environment. The work spans the full payment flow, from defining the customer-facing offering and channel experience to the underlying services, APIs, backend processing, and clearing. You will work across a broad payments landscape with different currencies, jurisdictions, rulebooks, and schemas. Job DescriptionYou will define and drive end-to-end solution architecture for payment offerings in corporate channels. You will work across the full flow, from frontend offering definition and channel capabilities to services, API layers, backend processing, and clearing. You will collaborate with architects and tech leads responsible for different components to create cohesive end-to-end solutions. You will facilitate and drive architectural deliverables such as target architectures, transition architectures, architectural roadmaps, architectural runways, and end-to-end flows. You will support detailed solution design together with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Channel Owners, and development teams. You will present solution designs and architectural decisions to stakeholders with different technical backgrounds. You will contribute where needed across topics related to payment channels, payment processing platforms, and payment reporting. Requirements10+ years' experience as a Solution Architect in Financial Services. Strong and demonstrable knowledge and experience architecting solutions for a diversity of payments offerings across currencies, jurisdictions, rulebooks, and schemas. Experience working end to end with payments flows, from frontend offering definition through services and API layers to backend processing and clearing. Strong and demonstrable ability to facilitate or drive the definition and agreement of architectural deliverables. Strong and demonstrable ability to work at a detailed level in solution design activities together with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Channel Owners, and development teams. Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, and OpenShift, as well as DevOps. Experience managing diverse stakeholders in large organizations and navigating ambiguity. Experience working in both traditional waterfall project environments and Scaled Agile environments. Fluent English. Nice to haveExperience in payments or cash management within Investment Banking.
