About This Role As an Area Business Manager, Rare Diseases, you will play a critical role in driving patient identification, market development, and commercial success across the UAE and selected Gulf markets for Biogen's Rare Disease portfolio. This is not a traditional sales role. As the territory expert, you will own and drive your business independently, developing and executing territory, account, and customer engagement strategies while helping remove barriers to diagnosis, treatment access, and patient care. You will work across multiple functions and stakeholder groups, combining elements of account management, patient finding, market development, access support, and commercial execution. You will build strong partnerships with physicians, multidisciplinary care teams, pharmacists, treatment centers, diagnosis centers, and other stakeholders involved in the rare disease patient journey. Internally, you will collaborate closely with Medical, Value & Access, Marketing, and Commercial colleagues to ensure aligned execution and maximize opportunities for patients living with rare diseases. This role offers significant autonomy, visibility, and regional exposure, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their capabilities beyond a traditional field-based commercial role while developing expertise within one of Biogen's strategic growth areas.
