About the role

This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, George W. Bush Presidential Library. The incumbent serves as a Photographer performing a variety of technical duties in connection with the creation of high-resolution photography of the artifact collection, including documentation, daily management of photo studio and equipment, artifact handling, and digitization of objects. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience for the GS-9 grade level is defined as one year of experience at the GS-7 grade level, or equivalent, that is typically in or related to the position and which equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience: Operating standard and specialized camera and film processing equipment; AND Using editing software to adjust digital images for optimal identification of artifacts.; AND Experience using digital camera(s) and/or scanner(s), to create clear, appropriate digital images of artifacts and/or collection records in a professional setting such as; museum, auction house, or field work of historical nature. Candidates MUST upload with their application package: At least two (2) photographs, and no more than five (5) photographs, of artifacts or museum collections that were taken by them in a professional setting. You may be asked to provide additional samples during the interview process.
