We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) at our Crisp Malt, Great Ryburgh location, offering a salary range of 43K - 46K. Primary Objective: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrical engineer carries out planned and reactive maintenance of all site and plant equipment to ensure the required levels of malt production are achieved, work to be in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), all trade related legislation and best practice. The position provides call out cover for out of hours breakdowns. Key duties and responsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance. Contribute efficiency improvements around all areas of the site. Contribute to continuous improvement on site by maintaining a vigilant approach to your work, identifying, and reporting any areas of interest to site management. Complete maintenance paperwork/computer entry in line with company procedures. Recommend improvements to the operation of equipment, where appropriate. Contribute to the installation and commissioning of new equipment and plant, where appropriate. Carry out basic mechanical repairs, particularly as part of on call rota. Ensure full compliance with: All relevant electrical engineering regulations ATEX Regulations Health & Safety at Work Act etc Company Policies and Procedures Food Safety Regulations Environmental Procedures Continued personal development by keeping up to date with new techniques, processes, and equipment, undertaking training courses and in house training, as required. Maintain high levels of housekeeping. Carry out other duties from time to time that may be reasonably requested. Person specification Electrical testing Electrical fault finding Ability to read a wiring diagram for control circuits Knowledge of Electrical installation & inspection Excellent problem- solving ability Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative Quality awareness Able to work well within a team and individually. Qualifications, skills & experience Essential Recognised Apprenticeship/Engineering qualification with industrial electrical bias. C&G 2360 part 2 or BTEC, HNC, NVQ equivalent with industrial electrical bias. Demonstratable problem solving abilities and Quality awareness. Confident in using computer-based maintenance systems and Microsoft. Knowledge of Motors, Inverter Drives, Soft Start systems, Soft Start systems. Full UK driving license Desirable Experience working within a Maltings with knowledge of DSEAR regulations. Material Handling Systems, Bucket Elevators, Belt Conveyors, Screws, Diverters etc. Demonstratable ability in mechanical testing, fault finding, installation & inspection. Familiar with PLC systems BS7671 Electrical Installations Course (Latest edition) Experience with lifting equipment (LOLER) What we can offer you 33 days holiday, inclusive of bank holiday.
