Responsibilities

  • Systems & Template Building: Design and document localization systems and After Effects templates that make our workflow faster and less dependent on individual availability. Build processes the whole team can follow, not just you.
  • Quality Control: Own QC across all language variants before anything reaches stakeholder review. Proactively flag text overflow, spec mismatches, missing frames, and process gaps: don't wait to be told.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with the localization team, video editor, and motion designers to check review cycles, text updates, and final delivery. Keep multiple language pipelines moving simultaneously without losing track of any of them.
  • Creative Motion Design: Contribute to original motion design work, developing animations from scratch when localization capacity allows and the team needs support.
  • What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Motion Design, Visual Communications, Animation, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Motion Designer, with demonstrated focus on localization or multi-language video production.
  • Proven experience localizing motion or video assets to 5+ languages simultaneously, this is the core requirement, not a nice-to-have.
  • Strong After Effects proficiency: expressions, Essential Graphics templates, pre-comps, batch work, and multi-format render pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of Premiere Pro for editorial handoff and Figma for design reference and asset management.
  • A track record of building or improving localization workflows: templates, naming conventions, file structure- not just executing tasks handed to you.
  • Sharp eye for detail and a personal approach to quality control that doesn't rely on others.
  • Comfortable with batch work, high project volume, and systematic delivery across multiple simultaneous deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work autonomously throughout projects.
  • Emerging technologies and AI tools knowledge or interest, especially tools relevant to localization workflows.
  • Portfolio showcasing multi-language motion projects and evidence of systematic or process-driven work.
  • Why you'll love it at Preply:
  • An open, collaborative, dynamic and diverse culture;
  • A generous monthly allowance for lessons on Preply.com , Learning & Development budget and time off for your self-development;
  • A competitive financial package with equity, leave allowan
