Research Assistant (Geophysics)

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply innovative 2D seismic phase picking methods
• Extract seismic phases for enhancing practical findings
• Publish high-impact research articles in leading international journals
• Assist in the preparation and development of competitive research proposals
• Support the supervision and mentoring of undergraduate students
• Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in exploration seismology, applied geophysics, or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in geophysical signal processing
• Familiarity with related literature and software
• Good written and oral communication skills

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Nanyang Technological University is a leading school for Sustainable Built Environment. We are looking for a Project Officer to develop intelligent detection and picking methods of extracting weak yet coherent signals from 2D acoustic or seismic recordings.
