Trade Development Manager - Export EMED & NAF Full time, permanent This is an exceptional and major opportunity for the right person who has the drive, passion and ambition to lead and develop the exciting East Med and North Africa Trades, where an established strong service continues to offer opportunities to expand further. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and managing the Export East Med and North Africa trades on a commercial basis, while maintaining an operational overview and ensuring adherence to the agreed pricing and intermodal strategy to achieve set Trade Budgets. How you will help us and what you can expect Promote and maintain Sea Freight pricing policy in conjunction with MSC Geneva Implement UK strategy and communicate this to internal and external Sales/Inside Sales teams Lead and motivate the trade's team by setting a quoting/rating strategy per market segment in order to ensure a prompt quotation and follow up with the ambition to maximise bookings and profitability Set realistic Budgets with MSC and if appropriate Overseas Agents, ensuring these are achieved together with the UK Sales Team Maximise Market Share by knowing the competition and the current/potential customer base Provide reports, statistics and analysis to MSC UK and Geneva on all Trade matters Complete Intermodal analysis for the Trade and formulate appropriate action to maximise contribution and meet Budget Targets Work with Sales Team, Logistics and MSC Geneva to ensure accurate targeting of correct business Work closely with Export Customer Service Managers and staff to ensure "end-to-end" co-operation within the Export Department and other support Departments of the Company Run a monthly Retention Analysis, establishing a strategic cooperation with the customer base and ensuring monthly budget is successfully met Promotion of active Sales and Target Account Programme Visit clients as and when needed to promote relationships and attract new businesses Arrange Destination visits to promote the UK and build stronger relationships Closely observe deadlines and reporting as required by Senior Commercial Manager Skills and experience you'll bring to us Proven Leadership ability Excellent organisational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to delegate ensuring deadlines are met Ability to undertake high level of computer analysis Must be able to demonstrate a good track record in negotiating up to Board level
