Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted compensation advisor to HR Business Partners and leaders, including senior and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment with AltaGas' compensation philosophy
- Lead job documentation, market pricing, and wage analysis, making recommendations ranging from individual job pricing to broader compensation program design
- Analyze and recommend salary levels for internal and external offers, bringing context, clarity, and market insight to compensation decisions

- Apply employment and compensation‑related regulatory knowledge to all analyses and recommendations
- What You Bring
- 5-10 years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in compensation supporting broad‑based programs
- Demonstrated experience consulting directly with senior and executive leaders on compensation strategies
- Strong knowledge of market‑based compensation practices and relevant employment legislation
- Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, modeling); comfort working in highly detailed, data‑driven environments
- Experience with Workday compensation modules is a strong asset; energy sector and/or international compensation experience is a plus
- CCP, PHR, or SHRM‑CP designation preferred
