AECOM CS Federal is seeking to hire a 2nd shift Construction Superintendent for our construction project at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. Job Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to : Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects. Responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project. May be the primary client contact for all the jobsite day to day activities or may coordinate with client's resident representatives on jobsite activities within assigned area of operations. Maintain control of the site and subcontractors Ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with site safety protocols and subcontractor compliance. Ensure subcontractor work aligns with client & subcontract requirements. Understands CPM schedules and sequencing of work Focus on production, manpower efficiency, and milestone completion Plan several weeks ahead instead of only reacting to daily issues Ability to identify constructability concerns in advance of scheduled work Find solutions and not only identify problems Produce and maintain accurate daily reports and tracking Document issues properly through RFIs, daily logs and real time communication with on-site project management Build trust with crews and subcontractors Facilitate AECOM/CS Federal Tishman policy/protocols. Interfaces with all other administrative field staff, field management staff and particularly the Project Manager in a coordinated effort. Minimum Requirements : Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, engineering technology, building construction, building science or a similar field 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Valid US Drivers License Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.
