Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ongoing activities within the S upply C hain from development to series production.
  • Support S upplier Q uality planning and execution of supply chain deliverables in conjunction with Logistics .
  • Participate in supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changes using APQP and VDA quality management processes.
  • Support all quality performance and functional standards , to ensure all vehicle a c tivities are met in the supply chain to meet Cus tomer satisfaction .
  • Responsible for COP & CKD part transition into Scout inventory .
  • Provide leadership with onboarded s uppliers to ensure Scout's Quality expectations are met and provide feedback t o facilitate industrialization related activities on time with the Supplier Quality team .
  • Responsible for supporting proactive and reactive containment at suppliers .
  • Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from suppliers
  • Ensure that records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc. are maintained
  • Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations
  • Responsible for participating in the reviewing of and participating in approval of necessary boundary samples, appearance catalogs, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring C hange M anagement occurs and is identified properly , and proactively for product architecture requests.
  • Work as a partner with the Supply chain to ensure escalations of issues are raised and resolutions are re solved in a timely manner .
  • Assist supplier with improvements in C ost, Q uality , and M anufacturability .
  • Support Supplier Quality Engineer with supplier audits and corresponding corrective actions to ensure their ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations .
  • Collaborate with Scout's Design, Supplier Quality, and Manufacturing to determine the ideal performance specifications and supplier metrics .
  • Accountable for ongoing monitoring of launch readiness for new products and design changes.
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement activities utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles .
  • Support Supplier Quality Engineers with e nsur ing suppliers have exceptionally robust processes and procedures to promote mass industrialization through efficient and seamless production of high-quality products .
  • Support the planning, execution and evaluation of root cause analysis to ensure high quality of Scout production vehicles through fast response methodologies ; ensure they are capable and robust using read across methodology for similar manufacturing lines and/or suppliers.
  • Lead, participate and drive Scout's Quality expectations as required to ensure KPI's are met.
  • Work to mitigate warranty claims with suppliers to drive closure and resolution of issues with the cross-functional group .
  • Work cross functionally with other departments within Scout .
  • Support NCR resolution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
