About the role
This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: -Applying federal recruitment and staffing laws, regulations, and policies (e.g., Title 5, merit system principles, veterans' preference) to evaluate hiring actions for compliance; AND -Conducting quality assurance or compliance reviews of recruitment and staffing activities, including vacancy announcements, job analyses, certificates, and selection documentation; AND -Identifying compliance risks, errors, or systemic issues in staffing processes and developing recommendations for corrective actions; AND -Interpreting and applying guidance from the Office of Personnel Management, Executive Orders, and agency-specific policies to real-world staffing scenarios; AND -Analyzing staffing metrics, audit findings, or program data to support process improvements and strengthen internal controls; AND -Providing technical advice and guidance to HR specialists, hiring managers, or leadership on recruitment and staffing requirements and compliance expectations; AND -Supporting or participating in audits, reviews, or oversight activities related to federal hiring programs. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
