Provides technical assistance to support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance. Assists with collection, analysis, and use of data through the Improving Learning for Children with Disabilities (ILCD) process to support student achievement and program improvement. Supports Results Driven Accountability (RDA) monitoring activities and implementation of improvement strategies aligned with state and federal accountability requirements. Plans and implements priority IDEA Part B-611 projects and professional development activities to implement evidence-based practices and improve outcomes for students with disabilities. Administers and manages grant activities and budgets, and evaluates project outcomes ensuring compliance with grant requirements. Assists with the Requests for Proposals (RFP) review process, State Board approval, and Grant Adjustment Notice (GAN) awards, and ongoing oversight for competitive grant programs. Provides consultation related to effective instructional strategies and supports for students with disabilities in all content areas. Develops and delivers professional learning experiences and provides resources related to special education, IDEA, Rule 51, policy and procedure reviews, and evidence-based practices. Promotes Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and provides support to improve access and participation in general education curriculum for students with disabilities. Supports training regarding MTSS, evidence-based practices, and working with students with disabilities, and assists with development and delivery of training. Maintains regular & reliable attendance, possesses a valid driver's license and travels independently, and works in a variety of settings Working Conditions and Travel : This position requires approximately 70% of work time spent in an office environment; the remaining 30% is spent traveling or working in alternative sites such as schools, educational service units, and other service agencies. There is also approximately 15 days of overnight travel per year. Requirements / Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in the field of education or related subject area, two years of successful preK-12 teaching or school administration experience in an approved or accredited Nebraska school, or equivalent teaching or school administration experience in another state or country, and eligible for/possess a current Nebraska Teaching or Administrative Certificate per §79-807. NOTE: A Nebraska Teaching or Administrative Certificate per 92 NAC 21 must be possessed by the time the candidate begins employment at the Nebraska Department of Education and an active certificate maintained while in the Edu
