Thrive in an environment of high expectations and collaboration to grow and hone their craft Community Outreach: Demonstrates commitment to the community by communicating regularly with families and attending key community events Bachelor's degree required A California Education Specialist Credential (mild/mod); PIP/STSP/waivers will be considered Familiarity with and/or the ability to learn SIRAS, IEP writing, and Special Ed Reporting Software Familiarity with and/or the ability to learn RTI, co-teaching, collaboration, Push-In, Pull-out, Learning Lab Intervention, and small-group teaching models Demonstrated mastery of classroom skills, including classroom management, planning, assessment, and instructional practice Proficiency with various technologies and teaching tools Bilingual ability preferred Skills, Knowledge : Preparing and implementing lesson plans that lead to student understanding based on state standards Providing an effective learning environment that reflects and facilitates student achievement Assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records Writing and conducting IEPs and facilitating IEP meetings Proctoring Formal Assessments Updating service logs and files Communicating with partnering agencies Participating in SST Meetings Maintaining frequent communication with students, students' families, colleagues, and leadership Participating regularly in professional development opportunities Appropriately communicating and interacting with other professional staff in academic planning and school committee work Attending and participating in staff meetings, extra-curricular/school-related activities, and committees Demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional growth and working with administrators to formulate and complete professional development plans Maintaining a professional appearance and demonstrating behavior that is conscientious and responsible Working Conditions: Environment: School environment; fast-paced work, constant interruptions Physical requirements: Hearing and speaking to exchange information, make presentations and communicate over the telephone; seeing to read, prepare, and proofread documents and view computer monitors; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment; kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, to retrieve and store files and supplies; lifting light objects; ability to go to sites apart from primary office to conduct business. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Pay Range: $66,745.12 - $110,152.35 . Final compensation will depend on skills & experience.
