SQL Server DBA (Remote in Portugal)

Responsibilities

• Administration of SQL Server OLTP and OLAP databases
• Monitoring, performance tuning and optimization
• Implementation and management of partitioning , SSIS and SSRS
• Development of scripts and tools using PowerShell, Python and/or C#
• Implementation and review of large-scale data collection and analysis processes
• Supporting continuous process improvement, ensuring reliability, scalability and performance
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration
• Strong command of T‑SQL and best practices for performance tuning
• Experience with PowerShell and/or Python for automation
• Knowledge of C# (preferred)
• Experience with: Version control systems (GIT)
• Windows Server
• HP OpenView
• Flyway DB Migrations (Open Source)
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of Azure (preferred)
• Soft Skills:
• High level of autonomy and accountability
• Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Collaborative spirit and effective communication with technical teams
• Proactive attitude towards process improvement and optimization
• Workplace type: Hybrid (Lisboa) or Remote.
• This position is based in Portugal.
