Job Description Summary The Intergalactic Site Quality Leader is responsible for leading the site quality organization to ensure product and process compliance, drive continuous improvement, and deliver strong Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) performance. This role provides direct leadership to Quality Engineers and partners cross-functionally with operations, engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams to maintain and improve the site's quality management system, product conformity, and customer satisfaction. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of quality engineers, including priority setting, coaching, performance management, and talent development Own site-level quality strategy, KPIs, and operating rhythms aligned to business and customer requirements Drive compliance to internal quality management system requirements, regulatory standards, and customer specifications Partner with manufacturing, sourcing, and engineering teams to prevent defects, reduce variation, and improve process capability Lead root cause and corrective action efforts for internal, customer, and supplier quality issues Champion a culture of FLIGHT DECK continuous improvement , problem solving, and accountability across the site Ensure effective management of nonconforming material, containment actions, and escalation processes Support customer and regulatory audits and lead site responses to findings Monitor quality performance indicators such as scrap, rework, escapes, first pass yield, and cost of poor quality Drive standardization of quality practices, control plans, inspections, and process verification activities Provide quality input for new product introduction, process changes, and risk assessments Collaborate with suppliers and supplier quality teams as needed to resolve systemic issues affecting site performance Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 5 years experience in a quality, operations, or engineering function (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of experience in Quality, Operations or Engineering function) Significant experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering leadership Experience leading salary individual contributors Experience with root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action, and quality management systems Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes in a matrixed environment Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills.
