About the role

Our commodity management team is passionate about Prime Air's mission of ultra-fast delivery. We combine procurement expertise with technical curiosity and a willingness to invent and simplify for a business that is scaling from pilot to production. We operate from Seattle, WA and partner closely with Prime Air's engineering, operations, and business teams. Our supplier base spans the US, Europe, and Asia, giving you global exposure and the opportunity to work with leading aerospace, electronics, and manufacturing companies.

Responsibilities

• Support New Product Introduction: Partner with Engineering teams to identify and qualify suppliers for new hardware components. Evaluate supplier technical capabilities, manufacturing capacity, and quality systems. Support prototype builds, design changes, and production ramps.
• Ensure Supply Continuity: Monitor supplier health, identify supply chain risks, and develop mitigation plans. Coordinate with suppliers on inventory positioning, lead time management, and capacity planning to support Prime Air's deployment schedules.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and Operations teams to align commodity activities with program needs. Serve as the subject matter expert on your hardware categories for cost estimating and make-versus-buy decisions.
• Export Control Requirement
