Summary of the role As a Service Engineer , you will play a key role in delivering exceptional technical support and service to our customers. This position offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where your expertise will directly contribute to the performance and reliability of our advanced inspection systems. You'll be part of a team that values innovation, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. Role and Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair x-ray inspection systems at customer locations. Perform system upgrades and deliver hands-on training to customers. Generate detailed service documentation including reports, protocols, and RMAs. Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend service solutions. Provide remote troubleshooting and support via phone and online tools. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and suppliers to analyze and resolve system failures. Maintain accurate CRM records, service tickets, and knowledge base entries. Own and follow up on open issues post-installation or upgrade. Offer feedback to engineering and operations to support continuous improvement and quality initiatives. Participate in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours support when needed. Assist with spare parts identification and support order processing. Provide technical input for aftermarket product quotations. Travel internationally, primarily within Europe, with occasional global assignments. Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer concerns and feedback. Develop and distribute user manuals and troubleshooting guides as needed. Deliver service training to distributors and regional teams. Support product demonstrations when required.
