This mandatory phase varies in length depending on the unit and many overlap with Phase II.Phase II - These classes focus on additional skills and specific transition to professional practice topics. Participation is mandatory; classes are offered at a variety of dates and times throughout the month.The program consists of the following nine courses:Patient and nurse outcomesContinuous improvementCritical thinking and delegationStress Management and self-careEffective communicationInformatics, advanced Cerner clinical internet resourcesEvidence-based practice and researchBusiness and healthcare leadershipProfessional development opportunitiesJob RequirementsEducationRequired: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved programExperienceNo prior experience requiredSkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate effective leadership abilitiesExhibits valuable time management skillsStrong critical thinking/problem solving skillsFlexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environmentLicensure/Certification/RegistrationMust take and pass NCLEX exam within 90 days of nursing school graduationBLS must be obtained within 90 days▪ Required: Graduate of an approved nursing program▪ No prior experience required▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills▪ Demonstrate effective leadership abilities▪ Exhibits valuable time management skills▪ Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.▪ Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.▪ Must take and pass NC LEX exam within 90 days of nursing school graduation▪ BLS must be obtained within 90 daysHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid time off
