Department: Parks + Rec Grade: 220 Salary: $28.58/hour Job Duties: This position is responsible for managing, operating, and maintaining a historic site; makes daily operational decisions. The associate gives direct supervision to 4 full-time employees, 3-5 seasonal employees and up to 50 volunteers. This associate oversees staffing, schedules, and supervision of multiple personnel; manages retail store operations; procures operational materials and resale items; and makes suggestions for capital equipment and capital projects. Manages assigned historic site that is open to the general public six days per week for general tours, special events, and school tours. Consistently monitors physical infrastructure of site and requests work orders to correct. Develops and implements historic site programs consistent with expectations of department. Performs regular safety reviews of site, takes necessary steps to ensure that the public and staff are not exposed to hazards. Works with outside agencies to ensure that livestock operations are consistent with federal requirements. Serves as a liaison with the volunteer group, which includes attending meetings, training volunteers, and coordinating with the volunteers to develop programming and staffing for events. Mo Town Living History Museum - Work with the site staff and volunteers to maintain the livestock.
