Responsibilities

  • Design Execution: Partner with Account Managers to develop high-quality space plans, typicals, and installation drawings using CET Designer and AutoCAD that maximize space and budget.

  • Quality & Code Control: Ensure all layouts strictly adhere to local building codes, ADA compliance, ergonomics, and client-specific tech/electrical integration standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously learn, adapt to new manufacturing extensions, and bring fresh workflow efficiencies to the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of dedicated, industry-specific experience within a commercial contract furniture dealership or commercial interior design firm (ideally in a dual Design and Project Coordination capacity).
  • Advanced proficiency in Configura CET Designer and AutoCAD (extension experience with major brands like Kimball, Steelcase, Herman Miller, or Haworth is highly preferred).
  • Proven track record of managing project workflows, tracking deadlines, and independently coordinating technical information across cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
  • Deep technical understanding of contract furniture systems, ancillary products, electrical/data feeds, and real-world site installation constraints.
  • Familiarity with dealership project management workflows, quote generation tools (e.g., ProjectMatrix, Hedberg, or similar ERPs), and manufacturer lead-time tracking.
  • Knowledge of ADA compliance, LEED, and WELL Building Standards.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills ; highly comfortable and professional in client-facing or vendor-facing environments.
  • Post-secondary credentials in Interior Design, Architectural Design Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
