The Assistant Coach for Women's Softball assists with team and player development and training, practice planning, evaluation of athlete performances, and recommendations to the head coach regarding participation in competitions. This position will also assist with video analysis; game preparation; throwing batting practice; on field player instruction, leadership development; team travel; and camps and clinics. Additionally, they will identify, evaluate, and encourage qualified student- athletes to complete the application process to Cornell in accordance with the Ivy League, NCAA and University policies. Coaches are expected to support the team and players to thrive academically, and to integrate athletes with university and department services. We are recruiting for 2 vacancies with one position focuses on pitching. Final salary offer will depend on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 1 - 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven success and potential in coaching, recruiting, and in mentoring student-athletes. Highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic and a relentless recruiter. Knowledgeable of NCAA rules. Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing. Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members. Valid driver's license. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills along with a tireless work ethic
