Network Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, operate, and maintain enterprise and security network infrastructure supporting electronic security systems and customer environments.
• Manage and administer network and security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, access control networks, and monitoring platforms.
• Support deployment and maintenance of electronic security systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Integrated Security Management Systems.
• Monitor security events, system logs, and alerts using monitoring tools to detect, analyze, and respond to incidents.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution for network and security system issues.
• Ensure secure network configurations, system hardening, and compliance with cybersecurity best practices across customer installations.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, coordinate remediation activities, and support system security improvements.
• Manage firewall policies, rule reviews, network segmentation, and secure remote access configurations.
• Support system integration, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of security and network solutions.
• Collaborate with project, engineering, and technical teams to ensure secure and reliable solution deployment.
• Maintain documentation including network diagrams, system configurations, SOPs, maintenance reports, and incident records.
• Support preventive maintenance, firmware upgrades, system updates, and service improvement activities.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for technical support, equipment replacement, and solution deployment.
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies, customer requirements, and industry standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering, IT infrastructure, or electronic security systems environment.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless networks.
• Hands-on experience with firewall and network security devices such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience supporting CCTV systems, Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, and integrated security solutions.
• Good understanding of VPN technologies such as IPsec and SSL VPN.
• Experience in system installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
• Familiarity with network monitoring, log analysis, and incident troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure network design practices.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and handle multiple site support activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced operational environments.
• Good communication and coordination skills for working with customers, vendors, and project teams.
• Willingness to work on-site and support after-office hours or emergency maintenance when required.
• Fortinet NSE, PCNSE, or equivalent certifications will be an added advantage.
• Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISM will be an added advantage.
