Senior Accounting Specialist@Flip We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting Specialist to support accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records. The role involves managing complex accounting processes, performing reconciliations, supporting month-end closing activities, maintaining compliance with reporting requirements, and contributing to internal and external audit processes. What you'll have to do: Accounting Operations & Reconciliations: Record, monitor, and reconcile purchase transaction flows related to device acquisitions from individual sellers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures. Perform regular partner account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding balances. Review, monitor, and close prepaid advances, ensuring proper allocation and accurate accounting treatment. Perform reconciliation and analysis of accounts 408, 409, 461, 462, and 542, ensuring accuracy of balances, proper accounting treatment, timely resolution of discrepancies, and compliance with internal accounting policies. Manage execution and reconciliation of fixed assets depreciation runs, ensuring proper accounting treatment and compliance with accounting policies. Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and submit Intrastat declarations accurately and within reporting deadlines. Prepare and manage Environmental Reporting / Environmental Tax Declarations in accordance with regulatory requirements. Perform supplier aging analysis, monitor overdue balances, and support actions for outstanding liabilities management. Month-End Closing & Financial Control: Support monthly closing activities, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely execution of accounting processes. Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews to ensure data integrity before period close. Assist in identifying process improvements to optimize month-end closing efficiency. Audit & Process Improvement: Provide support during internal and external audit processes, preparing requested documentation, reconciliations, and supporting analyses. Prepare, update, and maintain accounting procedures and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance with internal controls. Contribute to strengthening internal controls and improving accounting workflows. What makes you a good fit: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Minimum 4-6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a complex operational or multinational environment. Strong understanding of general accounting principles, reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets accounting, and month-end closing activities. Experience working with account reconciliations involving suppliers, advances, accruals, and operational transaction flows. Knowledge of Intrastat reporting and statutory compliance requirements. Experience supporting internal and external audits. Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar). Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
