About the role

This position is part of the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board. The incumbent will be responsible for providing programmatic support for procurements, timekeeping, fringe benefits, fleet management, and administrative functions. Specialized experience for this position defined as: Applied knowledge of government administrative policy and procedures for support functions, (i.e., travel, timekeeping, fringe benefits for transit benefits, procurement and the GSA motor pool program); developed and modified work methods, processes, and procedures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, effectiveness, and efficiency of agency operations and work products and services; demonstrated proficiency with grammar, punctuation, word usage, writing, and editing in order to prepare responses to a variety of complex, controversial, and/or sensitive issues, ensuring content, accuracy, proper tone and format, and technical terminology appropriate for the intended audience up to the congressional level; and managed travel, timekeeping, fringe benefits for transit benefits, procurement and the GSA motor pool programs to include non-traditional situations and needs. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
