Maintenance Planner

Responsibilities

• Using MEX (CMMS) create, prioritise and schedule maintenance work orders based on equipment and facility needs as well as resource availability
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for building services, plant, and equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, contractors, and clinical teams to minimise service disruptions.
• Maintain accurate asset records, work orders, and compliance documentation within the CMMS (MEX)
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for management review.
• Analyse maintenance trends, risk and improvement opportunities informing asset and workload planning
• Support compliance with relevant health, safety, building, and regulatory standards.
• Assist with planning shutdowns, equipment upgrades, minor works, and refurbishment projects.

• Experience in maintenance planning, facilities coordination, or asset management (healthcare or large complex environments preferred).
• Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, fire safety, plumbing, medical gases, etc.).
• Proficiency in CMMS ( MEX) or asset management software.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, maintenance manuals, and compliance requirements.
• Qualification in engineering, facilities management, or a trade related field (desirable).
• Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
• Desirable
• Previous experience using MEX (CMMS) or similar Maintenance Management System.
• Trade Certificate, OR an Advanced Diploma (related to a Trade)
