Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: The Engineering Technician performs hands on activities/tasks associated with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and thermal protection systems application, assembly, and check-out operations. Knowledge of coating removal, critical coating application, and pneumatic tooling operations is also desired. Participates as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost, and scheduling of their team. Candidate must be well organized and able to follow and execute computer-based shop assembly instructions. This position can be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4. Basic Qualifications for Level 3: High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience. No clearance required to start General understanding of electronic work instruction systems (MAXIMO, Solumina). Proficiency with hands-on mechanical assembly, thermal protection material application, protective finish removal processes and paint application of metal structures. Ability to read, understand engineering drawings and schematics. Capability to understand and follow electronic work instruction documents. Proficient with manual and power tools. Standard computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office. Basic Qualifications for Level 4: High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience. No clearance required to start General understanding of electronic work instruction systems (MAXIMO, Solumina).
