About the role
As a Cloud Azure Security Engineer , you'll help secure cloud environments by designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions across Azure infrastructure, applications, and data. Responsibilities
- Assess the security posture of Microsoft Azure environments to identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance gaps
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud security controls and protective measures across infrastructure, applications, and data
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable cloud security controls
- Conduct regular security audits, reviews, and assessments to validate adherence to established policies
- Provide guidance to engineering and operations teams on security best practices and remediation strategies
- Support the implementation and management of Azure-native security services such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Firewall, and Azure Active Directory
- Automate security processes and controls using tools and scripting languages such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, PowerShell, Python, and Azure CLI
- Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends in cloud security and incorporate findings into security practices
- Participate in incident response efforts and assist in the investigation and resolution of security incidents

- About You
- Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in cloud security engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of Azure security services including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Firewall, and Azure Active Directory
- Experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and containerized environments
- Hands-on scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Python, and/or Azure CLI
- Solid understanding of network security, encryption, identity and access management, and cloud security best practices
- Familiarity with implementing and managing security control policies in Azure environments
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CCSP, or similar are preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- English proficiency at B2 level
