About the role
The International Journal of Language and Communication Disorders (IJLCD) is the RCSLT's international, peer-reviewed journal, which publishes research focusing on speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, and other relevant aspects of speech & language therapy. We are seeking a new Associate Editor in the area of adult-focused research to join our supportive IJLCD editorial team. The role of Associate Editor offers the post-holder the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the dissemination of quality research in speech & language therapy. The successful candidate for this position will: Have a PhD in a relevant academic discipline Possess a proven track record (peer-reviewed publications, presentations at conferences, and/or other research enabling activities) within adult-focused research Have experience of carrying out peer-review Commit to carrying out the role for a minimum term of three years Be able to participate in four editorial team meetings a year Experience as an SLT and membership of the RCSLT is desirable. This role receives an honorarium of around £2,500 annually. We are hoping that the successful applicant will be able to join the IJLCD team immediately on appointment.
