Landfill Gas Compliance Data Analyst Salary - £32,454 - £40,568 (CAS or Car Allowance) Hours - 37.5 hours per week Location - Hybrid, with travel to FCC landfill sites as required As a Landfill Gas Compliance Data Analyst at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in supporting landfill gas compliance across our portfolio of landfill sites. Reporting to the Lead Environmental Compliance Data Manager, you will provide technical guidance to site teams, support regulatory compliance, manage landfill gas monitoring data, and work closely with contractors, regulators and operational teams to ensure the effective management, control and utilisation of landfill gas. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week. Our promise to you - Competitive salary - 25 days' annual leave (full-time working) plus Bank Holidays - Pension scheme - Life insurance - Discretionary bonus scheme - On-the-job training and progression opportunities - Recognition scheme - Refer a friend scheme - Flexible benefits, including high street savings, Cycle to Work scheme and Gymflex membership (where applicable) - Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and Best Doctors Service via our Wellbeing Platform What will you be doing? - Support landfill sites in achieving compliance with Environmental Permits and relevant environmental legislation. - Maintain and review landfill gas monitoring schedules to ensure compliance with permit and company requirements. - Liaise with landfill gas contractors and act as a key point of contact for all landfill gas-related matters. - Analyse landfill gas monitoring data and ensure timely input into FCC's environmental database. - Assist with the management and close-out of non-conformance reports (NCRs). - Provide advice on remedial strategies and landfill gas compliance improvements across FCC sites. - Support investigations, notifications and reporting requirements relating to landfill gas. - Produce, review and update management plans and reports, including environmental and financial appraisals. - Work collaboratively with site teams, engineering, estates and restoration teams to resolve compliance issues. - Assist with internal and external audits and support responses to regulator queries. What are we looking for? - Ideally educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent experience within an environmental or landfill gas role. - Experience of environmental monitoring, data analysis and report writing. - Knowledge of the waste management industry and/or environmental monitoring would be advantageous. - Experience managing and working with third-party contractors. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret environmental data and identify trends. - Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage with regulators, contractors and internal stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. - Commitment to health, safety, environmental and quality standards. - Proficiency in using databases and software to manage and report environmental data. - Membership of CIWM would be beneficial.
