Supervisory Operations Management Specialist

About the role

This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will be responsible for ?????? serving as the first level supervisor, providing planning and, directing, organizing, execution of global in-execution end-to-end distribution activities of the Defense Transportation System, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Current Operations Branch Chief (TCJ33).. You may qualify at the GS-GS-14 if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Research, interprets, analyzes and applies mobility and distribution solutions impacting all services within the DoD. Establishes metrics and analysis systems to ensure actions are timely and reviewed at critical points. Exercises supervisory responsibilities, advises and provides guidance to employees in relation to policies, procedures and management directives. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with high-level officials. -Tracks strategic movements and ensures they stay on plan or get resolved favorable as transportation scenarios change. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
