About the role

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER in the NAVY INSTALLATION COMMAND of WEPSTA FALLBROOK SET DET. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing Federal/State/Military/Local Laws/Statutes/Code and Regulation to provide guidance involving offenses ranging from simple rules violations to felony and capital crimes. 2) Using Federal/State vehicle and crime information automated systems to obtain information for police officers. 3) Providing guidance on procedures to seize and protect evidence. 4) Analyzing protective practices for areas/materials including fuel systems/special weapons/Flag Headquarters/Senior officer quarters/sensitive training facilities/sensitive communication buildings. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Additional Information (Continued): Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy. "Agreement to Continue in Service - CSA, Agency requires 36 months of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC in accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR410.309. Failure to voluntary complete length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse to the agency for fees, such as tuition and related fees, travel, and other special expenses (excluding salary) paid in connection with the training. Must be able to use all police equipment, certify in the use of lidar/radar and alcohol detection equipment, field sobriety tests, defensive police baton, OC Spray and obtain other certifications required to accomplish the duties of a law enforcement officer. Physical Demands: Work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing of multiple flights of stairs, lifting heavy object over 50 pounds, crouching or crawling in restrictive areas during search or pursuit activities, or defending oneself or others against physical attack. Work Environment: Work is performed where there is exposure to moderate discomforts and unpleasantness. May be required to use protective clothing or gear. Work involves moderate risk and discomfort while outdoors without shelter or operating vehicles for extended periods of time over rough terrain.
