About the role
You will serve as an ELECTRONICS MECHANIC in the Production Trades Division and Industrial Execution Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION, and includes 1) Performing overhaul, disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, alignment, installation, and maintenance on electronic equipment and complete operational systems for a major aircraft; 2) Reading and interpreting technical publications, drawings, schematics, diagrams, and work orders; 3) Using a variety of test equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, signal/pulse generators, oscilloscopes, waveform analyzers, frequency counters, and power supplies; 4) Utilizing working knowledge of the operating electronic principles such as, microminiaturized digital and solid state integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, tube circuits, antennas, signal transmission, oscillation, and amplification; and 5) Troubleshooting systems/equipment and determining the extent of repair required.
